Beet Root palya Raksha bandhan Thali

 


Today is Raksha Bandhan & had my Thali with  Beet Root palya



Ingredients


  • Beetroot
  • Mustard
  • Channa
  • Asafoetida
  • Red Chilli
  • Curry Leaves
  • Onion
  • Garlic 
  • Ginger
  • Salt
  • Coconut
  • For Decorations used cucumber & Curd. 


Directions

  • Peel the outer skin of the beetroot, cut it and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add the mustard seeds,Chana and let it crackle. Add the asafoetida, red chilli, curry leaves and let it splutter. Then add onion, Ginger & Garlic paste.

  • Add in the beetroot, season with salt, mix well and cook until the beetroot is half cooked.

  • Add in the sambar masala and, toss well and let the beetroot cook well.
  • Once the beetroot is cooked, add the grated coconut and mix

Final Snapshot

Serve the Beetroot Palya Recipe with Chapathi, Cucumber and curd.
